POH’s Striving for the Future of Families Fundraiser will be held at beloved Adams Morgan staple, The Festival Center. Guests will be treated to a delicious comfort-food-buffet including dessert, with a program of tributes, toasts and a signature POH piñata. As always, this will be a fun, uplifting summer evening that directly underwrites our work with families. Suggested attire: summer chic! (Whatever that means to you/ whatever you don't mind spilling some ice cream on!)
In addition, our ONLINE AUCTION will be LIVE for bidding Monday, June 23 through Friday, June 27th with items from local businesses, restaurants and organizations. Bid on theater tickets, gift cards, concert tickets, classes, experiences and more, with all proceeds going to support the Platform of Hope’s on-going work. *Registration for the auction is FREE for all– with suggested $25 donation for those not attending the June 25th event.
The location: The Festival Center, located at 1640 Columbia Rd NW, is a “A hub for activists, artists, people of faith and no faith, seekers, and mission-driven groups”. We're delighted to be partnering with their catering team for a special menu for this event!
Our goal is to raise $35,000 this year from tickets, donations, sponsorships and the online auction. 100% of proceeds from the event go to supporting our work with 50 Black and Brown families seeking economic and racial justice. The Platform of Hope is fiscally sponsored by Social Good Fund. Your in-kind donation to this auction is therefore tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
